Recent Trowlen Ramblings...

Hi,
I am Trowlen, and this is my place.
Yes, Trowlen is a pen name, pseudonym or nom de plume as some like to call it. You can look at it like a stage name as well, like Adele, Sting, Prince or even Lady Gaga. I will not be as entertaining as them or have the impact they have. Stage presence is something that I am very lacking in. I will never be as popular as Mark Twain, George Orwell, or Dr. Seuss. I don’t have the writing eloquence of Mark Twain, or the futuristic forward thinking of George Orwell, nor the nonsensical humor of Dr. Seuss. But I hope that what I write will help you to think, ponder, introspect, expand your echo chamber, and consider other viewpoints. Maybe even move the proverbial "Overton Window".
“Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”
- Dr Seuss – Happy Birthday To you
Like the famous Marsh-Wiggle “Puddleglum”, I hope that my “wet blanket” thoughts and satire will give you pause, for a moment pulls you so you consider what is said. Hopefully my actions will break the spell like the Marsh-Wiggle did in The Silver Chair by stomping on the fire with his webbed foot to break the spell and restore the truth.
Personally, I feel and relate to the fictional character of Bubda the hermit troll. I prefer not to be seen, to keep in the shadows, to be left alone. If the term a fly on the wall was invented to describe a person, it would be me. I prefer to stand in the periphery and listen. With my luck I would be seen by a frog and eaten. At times even the timid hermit troll or Marsh-Wiggle must come out of their places of comfort to be heard, speak, and stand up for the truth. I hope to do so, in a whimsical way, to break the seriousness and spell of society’s current plot.
"I do not wish to be visible to the world."
Lewis Carroll (Charles L. Dodgson), private letter, quoted in biographical commentary.
My voice may stay in the marshes and the swamps and only be heard by the frogs that dwell there, but just the saying and posting of my thoughts can give this Hermitson some therapeutic relief.
Long live the Hermit Trolls and the Marsh-Wiggles of the world.
